C'est Simple

Since the weather is starting to cool down and actually feel like winter (for once), I decided to sport my tailored creme peacoat with a basic black outfit under it. With Paris coming soon, I know I am going to get a lot of use of this coat because it keeps me super warm with the wool material. Apparently January is the coldest month in Paris, but it is pretty much cool for most of the year except for June/July/August. I am looking forward to the light beautiful drizzly rain and the cool dreary days in Paris because I think Paris is one of the few cities in the world that shines in any type of weather. And of course, my little Casper had to make an appearance; one thing that he is not is camera shy.

C'est la Vie

Paris Love
I am currently getting ready to jet off to one of world's major fashion capital: Paris, France. While deciding on what I want to bring to start my European wardrobe, I have certain pieces that I want to take with me. My must-have pieces are: my leather jacket, studded loafers, high-waisted black shorts, creme colored peacoat, and a simple oversized white tee. I cannot wait to arrive in Paris to be welcomed with the start of Paris Fashion Week: Spring 2013. And I am excited to explore the vintage stores that are skattered all over the fashionable little city. Since my departure to Paris is just around the corner, I have not been able to post as often as I would like but I promise there the wait will all be worth it once I start blogging in PARIS!!

Ready to Peace Out Country Life and Say Hello to City Life!!

This look was kind of spontaneous, I guess I was feeling a bit of the "southern vibe" that day. One of the perks to living in the South is that you can go on walks in the woods or to the lake without having anyone or anything bothering you. Where I live is rather peaceful, but I am more than ready to transition to the life of a city girl once more. But, I will definitely miss my friends, family and of course Casper. Xx

Welcome 2013

(Firstly, I want to apologize for the delay of this post, but I have been busy preparing for my next few months abroad.)
December 31st is the final day; it’s the day I pause and reminisce on my year. I cannot believe the miles I have traveled, the amazing friendships I created and the goals I have achieved. 2012 was the year of independence and self-discoveries. For the first five months, Shanghai was my home. While aimlessly wondering the alleys of Tianzifang and being a student at Fudan University, I had the opportunity to experience my first internship at a NGO called Non-Profit Incubator. Shanghai gave me the chance to grow as an independent strong individual and allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people whom I would have never had the chance to encounter. Soon returning home, I began my junior year of university. While balancing my challenging course load this semester, I was able to discover my true purpose, my dream and my ultimate career path. When turning in my finance final, I realized that I don’t want to work in finance (previous intended major). But instead, I want to pursue a career in an industry that I am passionate about: art and fashion. So, let’s make 2013 been the year of passion and dreams. I am eager to see what this year will bring, hopefully limitless amount of opportunities, bon voyages and new friendships. Cheers to 2013! Goodbye 2012, and Hello 2013!!!
