Current Obsessions

(From Top Left to Bottom Right)
1. PARIS!!! Oooolala, it is safe to say that Paris has been on my mind 24/7. I am so excited to call the City of Love my home for the next five months. This city will allow me to explore fashion on a whole entire level, and I will get to be a spectator of one of the most notorious Fashion Week of them all, Paris Fashion Week.

2. CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion: This lotion has been a lifesaver for this chilly weather. My skin has been quite dehydrated and I have been using this religiously in morning and night.

3. BEANIES: This very beanie has been on my head 4 out of the 7 days of the week. The best part about it, is that it is reversible. I told myself that I was going to make beanies my winter accessories this year and I most definitely followed through with my word. Who doesn't love a good beanie?

4. ESSIE in Licorice Nail Color: I've never been a black nail polish type of gal. I usually stick to my reds and corals year around. But recently, I tried blacking out my nails and I am totally digging the blackout look.

5. Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE PUR COUTURE: To say this lip stain is amazing is an understatement. My mom got this for my birthday and I have been obsessed with it since. I have the color 9 and it is the perfect classic red color.

6. LEATHER Jacket: I remember impatiently waiting for it to finally cool down so I could sport my leather jacket. Now that it is more that cold, this leather jacket has been on me 24/7.

7. CONVERSE ALL STAR: My trusty White All Stars are always on my obsession list, no matter what season we are in. These gems are always my go to sneakers if I do not know what to wear. And not to mention, my sneakers have traveled quite a lot with me (from places beaches in Salvador, Brazil to caves in Guilin, China).

8. TEEN VOGUE: Recently, I rediscovered the pure awesomeness of Teen Vogue. Looking back at out old issues of Teen Vogue really made me reminisce the time my sister and I would spend hours dreaming about our lives in New York City working together in the fashion industry. We both still dream about that but recently it seems as if we had hit pause. Now with this blog, I think it puts everything into perspective and gives me a little more hope to pursue my dreams.

Yours Truly, Miss Joker

(Forever 21 Beanie, Linda Farrow Sunnies, Blazer from Banana Republic, Crop Top from Urban Outfitters, High Waisted Shorts from H&M, Combat boots from Lucky Brand, Backpack from TJ Maxx and Watch from Michael Kors)

Every time I put this blazer on, I channel my inner Joker badass-self. There is just something about this blazer that screams Joker and the entire Marvel colors tones. You know the distinct envy green with the classic mustard yellow that were used in the comics. Oh Marvel Comics, where do I even begin? Long story short, my personal favorites would be Batman and Iron Man.

Now for my Linda Farrow sunnies. They are definitely one of my most treasured item that I own. Linda Farrow is know for her iconic eyewear, such as the Lady Gaga-esque/ Mickey Mouse eyewear she is known for. I put my pair on when I wanna channel a bit of badass rocker chick mixed with a little bit of John Lennon-esque vibe. And of course, on these cold winter days, I have been topping off all my looks with any of my trusty beanies.

Cheers!! xx

Be one with the wilderness. I’m totally digging this new blouse with the squirrel pattern on it and the foliage in the background just completes the photo. And if I had the time in the morning to put on red lips, I would. I think one of the best accessories that a girl could easy have are a pair of red lips. PS: How adorable is Mr. Little Casper?! Casper is and will always be my main man.

(sunnies, Ray-Bans, jacket from Banana Republic, wild sweater from ASOS, jeans from J. Brand and heels from Coach)
Black, white and a little wild. This one was just a fun photo shoot with my little sis. I ended using these photos from my About Me page. Who doesn't love some black and white photographs. Also, just wanted to say how thankful I am for all the friends and family I am blessed with. Without the support of my family and friends, I would not have the courage to do this and pursue the things I am truly passionate about. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Lots of Love and Kisses!!! xx

Today’s look was inspired by the holidays and adding a rocker-chic look to the classic tweed jacket. I bought this red tweed jacket recently because I knew it would be something I can dress up or dress down. This outfit is definitely one of my favorites by far. Let the festivities begin! xx

Now with a clear schedule, I have more time on my hands to document my outfits and focus on my true passion, fashion. Yesterday at midnight was supposed to be the end of the world (according to the Mayans) but of course it did not because we are all still alive and well today. So, yay for surviving!!!

Today's look is pretty chill because I didn't have a busy day. I played model and photographer because my sister was working on her senior ad and she needed some photos to create her backdrop for her ad. Maybe I'll show you some of the photographs I shot for my little sister once she is done with her background. Cheers to all over us surviving the end of the world, but we should all live life as if it were to end tomorrow. Peace and Love.

I'm Still Here...

Firstly, I want to apologize for my absence because it has been quite sometime (over a month) since I've posted and even then it was only a youtube video. I had been caught up on my university school work and the usual social aspect of university. It is now finals week and there is only a few days left of my Junior year in here the motherland. Because next semester, I will be going abroad for the second time around, this time I plan to take on Europe!! Currently, I'm at a very exciting yet stressful phase of my life, but I am trying to absorb every moment of time (bad and good, ups and downs).

I got to thinking about my future today after turning in my Finance exam. I asked myself .. "Is this what you want to do?" ... "Be a Finance major?" ... The answer to that question is NO! Non!! NEVERRR!! I want to do something that I love, something that I am passionate about, something that is natural to me. That is why instead of taking a very much needed nap, I logged on and started typing on here. From now on, I plan on having weekly updates and start having more "phootshoot-y" type posts to spread a little inspiration around (because in reality this is my inspiration and my creative board). Let's go!

Peace and Love! xx

Red Lips

Red lips, oh where to begin. A red lipstick should be in every girl's makeup bag. Red lips can dress up any outfit and just add that "Je ne sais quoi" to a look. I love pairing red lips with neutral eye makeup. When I wear red lips, I would usually just groom/ fill in my eye brows, add a somewhat thick line of eyeliner, a neutral pinky blush on the cheeks and finish it off with whatever choice of lipstick is for the night.

Now that the weather is finally cooling down, I feel like it is the perfect time to pull out those bright reds to the dark vampy/wine red lipsticks. So go on and get those lip sticks ready for those fall/winter festive parties. It is something that everyone can definitely pull off, and I think it doesn't make an appearance as often as it should.

My personal favorite paring when wearing any type of red lips consists of my leather jacket, black jeans, white simple tee, black leather boots and of course my red lips.

Pineapple and Mint

Recently, I rediscovered my favorite drink the whole-wide world, Pineapple Mint drink. This would be the drink I would choose to drink for the rest of my life, if I had to choose such a thing. It only takes two simple ingredients: fresh pineapple and fresh mint leaves. All you have to do is put all the yumminess into a blender and blend it up. It is so simple, yet the best thing in the world. Whenever I visit Brazil, I make sure to order this drink at every restaurant. "Um abacaxi com hortelã, por favor"

Personal Quotes

"The world is like my menu with an endless list of sweet delectable cities and savory countries. I guess one can say that I have had entrees to somewhat satisfy my hunger, but I have yet to completely appease my infinite amount of craving for travel." -Jessica Feng 9/29/2012
